Hey there, I’m Dr. Julia Sen, a South Asian registered clinical and counselling Psychologist and Mom with over twenty years of experience as both!
After receiving my PhD and licensing as a psychologist, I’ve had the privilege to work with many parents. One of the biggest challenges I see parents facing today is managing screen time at home. Since we, as parents, didn’t grow up with the tech our kids have now, I deeply empathize with the struggles we experience today — particularly within South Asian communities where we are trying to balance modern-day advances with traditional values.
As a parent myself, I recognized the importance of learning how to parent. Through research and skill building, I raised my children through the fastest decades of technological change in addition to a pandemic, and guided them to be respectful, high achieving, culturally attuned, confident people.
As a psychologist, author, speaker, and workshop leader, it is my dream to help other South Asian parents raise a generation of unconditionally confident kids so they can navigate the complexities of today's world with greater ease and flow, opening the door to anything they believe is possible.
